Ultra Rare

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ultra Rare (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Ultra Rare mobile app and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account so we can create and secure your account. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Activity information

We collect information about how you use the Service, such as the cards you scan and browse, to provide the Service and improve card recognition.

Device and notification information

If you enable push notifications, we collect a push notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you alerts. We also collect standard technical data such as your device type, app version, and IP address, and basic log data needed to run and secure the Service.

Camera and card scanning

The card scanner uses your device’s camera to identify cards. This scanning is performed entirely on your device using Apple’s Vision framework. Camera images are not uploaded to or stored on our servers; we only receive the resulting card identification (such as a card name or set number).

How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
  • To provide card scanning and card browsing features.
  • To send notifications and service-related communications.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues, and to enforce our terms.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service, and only as needed:

  • Google — for sign-in (authentication).
  • Google / Firebase — for push notifications.
  • Apple — in connection with the App Store and app functionality.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Your choices and rights

  • You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.
  • You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and deletion of your account, by contacting us at the email below.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the app.
